Sometimes making an entire pan of lasagna is just too much work! Of course, if you are feeding a ton of people, there is nothing better, but what if there are only a few of you? You have lasagna left for days. I wanted to try making everything on top of the stove in ONE pan and see how it went. Indeed….it went well…
One Pot Lasagna
- 1# ground turkey
- 1/4 red onion – chopped
- 1 garlic clove – minced
- 2 tbls coconut oil (or olive oil)
- 2 cans tomato sauce (or 1 jar pizza sauce)
- 8 lasagne sheets – broken into large pieces
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbls Bonnie’s Tasty Herb Rub
- 1 container organic ricotta cheese
In a large saute pan, brown the meat with the onion, coconut oil and garlic. When cooked through, add the tomato sauce, water, Bonnie’s Tasty Herbs & pasta pieces. Push down the pasta pieces with a wooden spoon to be sure they are submerged in the sauce. Cover and cook for 15 minutes. Add dollops of ricotta cheese (or shredded if you’d rather) and cover again. You can turn off the heat at this point and just re-heat it when you are ready to serve. Now that’s easy.
